Yates Center’s Hadley Splechter won a 2A state championship in the 3200m run Friday in Wichita.

Splechter posted a time of 9:45.06 Friday, putting him more than ten seconds ahead of second place in the race.

Splechter has signed to continue his track and field and cross country career at Kansas State University next season. Friday’s win is his 7th state championship in track. He will try to add to the state total when he competes in the 1600m and 800m on Saturday.
