Woman released from hospital after fatal shooting in Joplin

JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin Police release the name of a woman hospitalized after a shooting and alleged burglary in Joplin.

On Feb. 3rd, 2020, officers were sent to 1302 S. Roosevelt Ave about a burglary and shots fired. Two people were found shot: Gregory A. Coble and Rebekkah Gage.

Police say Coble was an acquaintance of Gage, who lived at the home with there shooting took place. Police have not confirmed to KOAM if a burglary did take place.

An autopsy confirms Coble, 36, of Joplin, died of a single gunshot wound to his torso.

Gage, 36, of Joplin, has been released from the hospital.

The Joplin Police Department is still investigating and say no arrests have been made.
