WE WANT TO CORRECT A STORY FROM TUESDAY ABOUT THE SUSPENSION OF A LAW LICENSE FOR A SOUTHEAST KANSAS ATTORNEY — CONCERNING AN ATTEMPTED SCHEME BY THIS ATTORNEY THAT THE KANSAS SUPREME COURT DETERMINED VIOLATED HIS DUTIES AS AN ATTORNEY AND ATTEMPTED TO HARM WILSON COUNTY HOLDINGS.

WE ALSO WANT TO APOLOGIZE TO WILSON COUNTY HOLDINGS FOR OUR ERROR IN INCORRECTLY STATING THEY DID ANYTHING WRONG. THE STATE SUPREME COURT SAYS ATTORNEY KERRY HOLYOAK TRIED TO EXTRACT A $1.9 MILLION PAYMENT FROM WILSON COUNTY HOLDINGS AND, IN EXCHANGE, HOLYOAK OFFERED TO DROP HIS INVOLVEMENT IN OPPOSING ITS PROJECT IN WILSON COUNTY, DESTROY EVIDENCE THAT HE CLAIMED TO HAVE DEVELOPED ON BEHALF OF CLIENTS, AND LEAVE TOWN QUICKLY AND QUIETLY.

WILSON COUNTY HOLDINGS NOT ONLY DID NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENT TO MISTER HOLYOAK, IT WAS FORCED TO RESPOND TO MISTER HOLYOAK AND EVENTUALLY TAKE THE MATTER TO THE KANSAS BAR.

AGAIN, WE MADE A MISTAKE IN THIS REPORTING AND WE APOLOGIZE TO WILSON COUNTY HOLDINGS, A COMPANY THAT IS VERY MUCH IN OPERATION.
