William (Bill) Glenn Davis
March 13, 1952 - August 25, 2020
William (Bill) Glenn Davis passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones on August 25, 2020 after a long and perilous fight with leukemia.
Bill was a 20 year retired veteran of the U.S. Army where he proudly served three tours in Germany and 1 tour in Korea.
Bill was an avid fisherman, gardener, and landscaper. After he retired from the Army, Bill took a career as an over the road truck driver where he was accompanied by his four legged companion, Teddy Bear. Teddy Bear and Bill traveled all over the country together for many years before he retired from driving. He began installing satellite TV systems for both Dish Network and DirecTV for several years. He operated a lawn service that employed people with disabilities and donated all proceeds to local charities. He often provided services for many people who could not afford to pay him.
Bill lived a long and full life and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet and two children, Sherry (Scott) of Denver, CO and Stephen (Lara) of Houston, TX, 4 grandchildren: Tyler, Jaxson, Hailey, and Garrett and 2 great-grandchildren: Kaydence and Wyatt. Bill had many adventures in his life. He always said the greatest trip of his life was helping his son move back from Alaska to South Dakota. They spent 11 days driving, camping, and fishing through Alaska, Canada, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota. Bill was a very kind hearted, compassionate, animal loving, and loving man who always looked out for those less fortunate than he.
