Wes Anderson movie title mentions a southeast Kansas town
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Kan. – There aren’t a lot of details out about the new Wes Anderson movie, but a name in the title has a familiar ring to southeast Kansas.
It’s called “The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun” and is set to be in theaters July 24, 2020. (Liberty is located in Montgomery County, Kan.)
The movie’s first poster details: “The French Dispatch brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city.”
Some big names have been announced as starring in the film including Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Benicio Del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and more.
According to The New Yorker, Bill Murray will play a Kansas native.
