Wendell was born May 9, 1952 in Lawrence County, MO to Orlie and Frances “Spencer” Todd. He went to West Elementary Grade School near Miller, MO and then his family moved to Carthage, MO where he was a lifelong resident. He worked over 20 years at Steadley Corporation, then at Dean’s Double Deuce Diesel Repair in Duenweg, retiring after 18 years. Wendell enjoyed working with all types of wood. He made a cradle for his first grandchild, little wooden chairs and furniture for his wife. He always had a project going on. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and small engines. But, his favorite thing to do was sit on his front porch with the love of his life, Janey Kay.

Wendell was united in marriage to Janey Kay Stotts on August 22, 1972 in Carthage, MO; she survives.

Wendell is survived by two daughters, Nancy Millard (Brad) and Regenea Todd, both of Carthage; one son, Dusty Todd of Diamond; one daughter-in-law, Sara Todd; one brother, Carroll Todd of Diamond; one sister, Janice Jeffries of Bentonville, AR; brother-in-law, Max Beller of Carthage; sister-in-law, Betty Choate (Tony) of Carthage; nine grandchildren, Zach Huff (Kahlie), Sausha Millard (Jamal), Seth Winn, Deion Clark, Iziah Todd, Kaiya Todd, Wyatt Todd, Clay Millard (Jamie) and Morgan Millard; along with seven great grandchildren.

Wendell was a quiet, simple man and family was his world. He was the best husband, father, grandpa, uncle, brother-in-law and friend a person could ask for, and if you needed help he was always right there. He will be greatly missed!
