Wednesday Blog: Flurries/snow showers and even thunderstorms in the forecast. -Doug

I hope your week is going great so far.  We have made it just about halfway through and cruising right on to the weekend.  Boy it was cold on Tuesday.  30 degrees colder on Tuesday than Monday.  We do warm up a little bit on Wednesday, not much but a little.

Wednesday

A weak wave passes to our south on Wednesday night.  This will produce some snow flurries, but we may get a few random snow showers in here.  This is not a big deal.

Light Snow

I expect just flurries, if we had any light accumulations, we are looking at about a dusting.  Thursday we warm into the mid 40s which will be nice.

Thursday

Then we bounce back into the 50s by the weekend.

Weekend

We have two waves that roll out early next week.  This will give us a slight chances for showers on Monday, better chances on Tuesday.  In fact it looks like thunderstorms by Wednesday.  Some of these could be on the strong side, so lets watch this.

Next Wednesday

Now we need to watch the backside of this system to see if we get any ice or snow as the cold air rushes in.  But the Heady Pattern really picks up, meaning stronger systems over the next couple three weeks.

Long range forecast is below.

Next Wednesday – Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday.  Lets see if we can get some cold air in behind this system and get a little ice or snow.  Rain and snow chances return by the weekend.

Feb 13th-19th:  A cold start with rain or snow chances on Sunday.  Warming back up with mild temperatures through the middle of the week with thunderstorm chances again by Thursday.  Cooling down with rain or snow chances on Friday and Saturday.
