Webb City’s Alex Gaskill commits to Pitt State Football

Webb City senior Alex Gaskill has committed to continue his football career at Pittsburg State University. Gaskill made the announcement via Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

Gaskill is the reigning Missouri class 4 Defensive Player of the Year, and has been recruited to play outside linebacker for the Gorillas.

He had offers from Missouri Southern, Central Missouri and William Penn, but in the end decided Pitt State was the place he wanted to be.

“The atmosphere at Pitt State is something you don’t find anywhere else in Division II,” Gaskill says, “When I went on an official visit it just felt right. Their facilities are second to none. Everything about it was a plus.”

Last season for Webb City, Gaskill racked up 110 total tackles, including 3 tackles for loss. He also picked up five interceptions. He also got it done offensively, catching 25 passes for 456 yards and 7 touchdowns.
