Webb City man charged with child sex crimes
WEBB CITY, Mo. — The Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office files child sex crime charges against a Webb City, Missouri resident. Daniel Chavez, 64, is currently in the Jasper County Detention Center on a no bond warrant.
In May, the Jasper County Detective Division began investigating Chavez. Authorities identified three victims and multiple incidents. The Sheriff’s Office says the crimes took place between 2006 and 2015 within the county.
The U.S. Marshals arrested Chavez on October 4th on a warrant related to the alleged crimes. Chavez is charged with four counts of child molestation, four counts of statutory sodomy and two counts of furnishing pornography to a minor.
