JOPLIN, Mo. - Our front continues to hang around the area. With that and another upper level wave trying to pass along, that will keep t-storm chances in the forecast today. That being said, we don't have the right setup to worry about any severe weather today. It won't be raining all day, but on and off scattered showers and t-storms will be possible once again as we get into the afternoon.
The front will have a better chance of spawning some severe weather off to our west and east this afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk outlined for parts of the OK/TX Panhandles, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming. That region will have the better chance for severe t-storms with large hail and high winds possible. Another slight risk of severe weather has been outlined for parts of North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland. T-storms this afternoon and evening out that way could be capable of mainly high wind gusts.
