JOPLIN, Mo. - Despite skies staying partly sunny for Wednesday, we still plan on staying dry as highs climb back into the lower to middle 50s. We'll continue to watch an upper level wave in the western U.S. as it'll head our way with rain chances on Thursday.
Before it gets here, though, it'll keep any t-storm chances well off to the southwest. Parts of the Desert Southwest will have enough moisture and a little instability working together with the upper level wave. While this doesn't support any severe weather, the Storm Prediction Center does note that t-storms will be possible for the region Wednesday afternoon and evening.
