Lake Effect Snow in the Great Lakes; Heavy Rain and Mountain Snow in the Southwest U.S.

A shot of cold air dropping across the Great Lakes will help generate bands of lake effect snow Wednesday, with the heaviest snowfall likely downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario. In the West, a new storm will bring localized heavy rain in lower elevations, with heavy mountain snow across portions of central and southern California, and eastward into the Four Corners Wednesday into Thursday.
