Monday afternoon will see windy and warm conditions with scattered showers developing by Monday evening.
WHAT WE ARE TRACKING:
The next storm system will be moving in late Monday into Tuesday morning with scattered areas of rain and showers. The heaviest rain will be in eastern sections along the MO/AR border.
Rainfall amounts by Wednesday evening could approach two inches in isolated locations especially eastern sections.
EXTENDED FORECAST/OUTLOOK:
Another storm system will move into the area late Thursday and early Friday and with enough cold air in place, snow is likely across the area with light accumulations possible. The next system after that will be late next weekend with chances of rain right into Valentine's Day.

Sam co-founded the National Storm Channel, an online stream casting platform covering breaking weather events across the nation. Sam has also provided expert forensic analysis for weather-related litigation and long-range forecasts for the natural gas industry. Sam graduated cum laude from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology with a minor in Geography. Sam enjoys traveling, cooking and chasing storms.
