Well we made it through another work week, well almost. I hope you have had a great week. Mine has been pretty good. I love the cooler temperatures that are here. Finally, it feels like fall. In general these are going to stick around. Remember, we are in the new HP (Heady Pattern) now for the next 12 months. The cycle length I have pretty much pegged down, but still want to watch it for a couple of weeks and then I will let you know what I am looking at. But, I am excited for a new pattern. Still looks active, but not near as wet as the last year has been. So lets look at what is working in.
Take a look at the radar below.
We will have a few showers, mainly north of I-44 for us today. Here is a look at this morning.
So, a lot of clouds again and highs pressing 70. I do think any showers should be out of here by Friday night football. It will be chilly in the lower 60s.
Our next wave is Saturday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 70s to near 80s. Some of these could be strong but not looking at severe right now.
Long range forecast into early November:
LONG RANGE FORECAST BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN. THIS COVERS NEBRASKA, IOWA, KANSAS, MISSOURI, OKLAHOMA AND ARKANSAS.
Next Week: Leftover showers on Sunday and cooler. A great start to the week with a gradual warming trend through the 70s. Next system is in on Thursday, showers and thunderstorms and then turning colder for the weekend.
October 13th-19th: Another mainly mild week. We will warm a hair late in the week with our next storm system. Rain chances Wednesday through Saturday.
October 20th-26th: A cool first half of the week. Chances for rain on Tuesday and Saturday. Mild temperatures return the second half of the week.
October 27th-November 2nd: Mainly a mild week. We will cool down a bit for the middle of the week but mainly a mild week. Rain chances on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
