Watching rain chances down the road
Starts picking up late next week
JOPLIN, Mo. — The weekend has started off on a dry note as temperatures climbed into the middle 50s this afternoon. While Saturday stays quiet, we’ll have a few weak waves bring in mostly cloudy skies and the chance for at least a few showers on Sunday and Monday. The upcoming week shows a dry Tuesday and Wednesday before rain chances pick up again with a stronger system returning Thursday.
The shower chances for Sunday and Monday look fairly light. The end result of that would be barely a trace to a tenth of an inch. Once the stronger system works in next Thursday, that’s when expected rain amounts could start pushing up to a range between half an inch and an inch.
