Watch: University of Kansas Health System holds virtual press conference on COVID-19

 

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) and The University of Kansas Health System (TUKH) will hold a virtual press conference at The University of Kansas Hospital on Monday, March 23 at 5:00 p.m. (CST) regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

KOAM will share the social media video above once it begins.

Senator Moran plans to speak about his vote on Phase 3 of the relief/stimulus package and his current self-quarantine status.

Lee Norman, MD, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment will talk about the statewide planning effort and the Kansas response plan.

Tammy Peterman, President, Kansas City Division of The University of Kansas Health System plans to discuss the current impact of the novel coronavirus and on supplies and manpower in Kansas City, Kansas and throughout the health system.

Steve Stites, MD and Chief Medical Officer at The University of Kansas Health System will talk about protecting yourself against community spread of the novel coronavirus and what to do if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
