Warming back up on a quiet Wednesday
With rain staying away once again
JOPLIN, Mo. — While we’ll continue to watch a developing weak wave in the western U.S. on Wednesday, we’ll keep things quiet and chilly under partly sunny skies. As far as t-storm chances go, most of the country is looking quiet.
That being said, the Storm Prediction Center has a small area of t-storm risk outlined for central and southern Florida for Wednesday afternoon and evening. The cold front will continue to sink to the southeast and interact with just enough warmth, instability and moisture to spawn some scattered t-storms. With marginal mid-level lapse rates and weak wind shear, that will keep any severe weather threat away for the day.
