Wanda Couch

Loving wife and mother, Wanda Couch, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2022, in Miami, Oklahoma. Wanda was the devoted wife of Jim Couch and loving mother of her three daughters, Kirsten, Gretchen and Rachel, her son-in-law, Oleg Molokin and two cherished granddaughters Alexandra and Elizabeth.

A beautiful person inside and out, Wanda was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Truly a source of inspiration to us all, our mom will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Mom and Dad, married 63 years, met in Welch, Oklahoma when they were merely kids. It was a love story like no other, with many romantic and charming stories of their courtship. They were married on June 28, 1958, and settled in Miami, Oklahoma, where they created a wonderful home and enjoyed a loving family life.

Growing up, mom was always there for us and her community. She loved volunteering at many different organizations throughout her life. She was a woman of strong faith and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work, doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to.

Wanda was predeceased by her daughter, Kirsten Couch, and she is survived by her husband, Jim, and her daughters, Gretchen Couch and Rachel Molokin. Wanda was born to Woodrow and Florine Wilkins on August 6th, 1939, in Bluejacket, Oklahoma.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church on Monday, June 6, 2022. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
