Voters to decide on Jasper Fire Protection tax proposal

JASPER, Mo. – The Jasper Fire Protection District is looking for support to fund three daytime firefighters. Voters will head to the polls on April 5th, 2022, to decide on the tax proposal.

The proposition is to add .30 cents per $100 of assessed valuation. If passed, the funds will be for staffing, not to fund trucks or equipment.

“We are asking for a yes vote on April 5th, 2022 showing your support to be able to go from having only volunteer firefighters to try to staff 3 full time firefighters during the daytime hours. Volunteers are at an all time low across the entire nation and the need for help has never been greater.” — JFPD
