Vigil remembers Commerce, Oklahoma murder victim

Balloons Released At Vigil For Dusty Miller

COMMERCE, Okla. – Family and friends gathered in Ottawa County Sunday evening to remember the life of 46-year-old Dusty Miller, a Commerce, Oklahoma man who was murdered back in February.

His case remains unsolved.

Those in attendance lit candles and released balloons during Miller’s vigil.

Organizers hope this will help bring about justice for their friend and for others.

Posters at the service displayed pictures of more than 15 other unsolved cases in the Northeast Oklahoma area with the words, “Make murder a crime again.”

The miller family is still looking for closure in the death of their son.

“I’d really love to seek justice for Dusty and the rest of the unsolved murders that haven’t been solved so people can find peace and closure, because you don’t know how hard it is,” said Dusty’s mother Theresa Olds.

Donations were also collected to help with the upkeep of Dusty’s memorial cross.
