One day could make a huge impact, as evident from the Victory 4 Haiti event in Joplin today.

Sixteen hundred people gathered at the Victory Ministry and Sports Complex to package meals that will be sent to students at the Haitian Christian Mission in Haiti. Volunteers measured and packed nutrient-rich foods across twenty work stations to provide for children in the poverty-stricken country. People of all ages worked together, which organizers say is one of the best parts of the event. It is also a way to impact a life across seas, says board member Clifford Wert.

“To come and do a community service project and to do a kingdom work that would enable people to help someone else that they’ll probably never ever see but they know that they have provided a nutritious meal for a student in Haiti.”

The volunteers packed more than 280,000 meals.
