US Marshals capture wanted fugitive near Grove
GROVE, OK – U.S. Marshals capture wanted fugitive Heather Griffith near Grove, Oklahoma. That’s according to CBS affiliate KOTV out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Police say Griffith, convicted in a Grove motel stabbing, violated her federal probation.
The 2020 Crime
On March 15, 2020, authorities arrested two suspects in connection to a stabbing at Honey Creek Motel in Grove. Police took Heather Louise Griffith and another woman into custody the next day.
According to court documents, Delaware County Prosecutors charged Griffith with Witness Intimidation. Investigators determined the motive of the assault was a witness’ testimony in a Delaware County murder trial.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), Grove Police Department and Delaware County Sheriff’s Office were all involved in the investigation.
In November 2021, Griffith pleaded guilty related to an assault with a deadly weapon case. After being released, the U.S. Marshal’s service says she violated her federal probation.
They issued a federal probation warrant for the 27-year-old’s arrest. According to the authorities, Griffith was last known to be in the Grove area.
