A van driven by 37-year old Scott Windsor of Grove, Oklahoma crossed the center line of highway 69 on the bypass near Quincy Saturday late afternoon. He struck 46-year old Brian Bavaro of Kansas City head on. Bavaro was taken by medical helicopter to Freeman hospital with serious injuries. Bavaro’s passenger, Windsor and his 4 year old child were taken to Via Christi with injuries. A third vehicle driven by Misty Smith of Arma avoided the collision ending in a ditch. She suffered minor injuries.

A head on collision happened Saturday late afternoon when a van crossed the center line of highway 69 between 4th and Quincy streets. The Crawford county sheriff says one northbound car avoided the southbound van, ending up in a ditch. But, a second vehicle took a direct hit. There were no fatalities but several injuries and one victim was transported by medical helicopter to Freeman hospital in Joplin. KOAM-TV hopes to have more details as they become available.
