Unemployment rate in Missouri lowers to 10.1 percent
MISSOURI – Missouri’s unemployment rate lowers to 10.1 percent.
According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, April of 2020 saw the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate changed from 9.7 percent to 10.2 percent.
This change comes after some revisions were made to the seasonal adjustment factors for statewide employment and unemployment estimates by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Missouri also adjusted the unemployment rate for March of 2020 downward to 3.9 percent.
While the unemployment rate of May of 2020 saw Missouri’s labor market start to rebound following major job losses due to COVID-19, the unemployment rate is still three times higher than May of 2019.
