BARRY COUNTY, Mo. – The U.S. Marshals are involved after 3 inmates escaped the Barry County, Missouri Jail.

The escape happened in the early morning hours on Friday, June 3, 2022. Authorities consider Lance Justin Stephens, Matthew Allen Crawford and Christopher Allen Blevis armed and dangerous.

  • Lance Justin Stephens, 29, was being held on drug charges and unlawful use of a weapon with a $75,000 bond.
  • Matthew Allen Crawford, 29, was being held on failure to appear charges of Felony Stealing with a $30,000 bond.
  • Christopher Allen Blevins, 37, was being held on drug charges, vehicle tampering, unlawful possession of a firearm with a $16,000 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office released an update today. They turned the situation over to the Marshals on Friday to conduct the search for the escaped inmates. They have information to believe all the escapees are no longer in the area.

“If you have any information on where the suspects are or where they are heading we welcome your tips and they will be passed on to the Marshals.” – Barry County Sheriff’s Office

The Sheriff’s Office states if you know their whereabouts or see them, call 911 immediately.
