Montgomery County (KS) – Montgomery County Sheriff Robert Dierks announced today that two suspects of recent Burglary were apprehended by Deputies today. The first suspect was taken into custody at Ashcraft Tire in Independence. The 2nd suspect was apprehended a short time later on North 5th Street after he attempted to elude Deputies. Both suspects have been booked into Montgomery County Jail with Sheriff Dierks recommending Burglary and Theft.

Sheriff Dierks would like to thank his Deputies for the hard work on the case, and extend a thank you to Independence Police Department for their assistance in the apprehension of the two suspects.

Both Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
