Two COVID-19-related deaths reported at Carthage Health and Rehab

JASPER COUNTY, Mo – The Jasper County Health Department reports the death of two Carthage residents in which COVID-19 was a “significant condition contributing” to the deaths.

The two residents were a 78-year-old male and a 77-year-old male. They both lived at Carthage Health and Rehab, a long-term care facility in Carthage.

The Health Department says Carthage Health and Rehab has been working closely with them and other health officials. The facility recently had all staff and residents tested for the virus.
