Twin Bridges drowning victim identified as Jasper County resident

OTTAWA COUNTY, Okla. (March 7, 2022) – Authorities release the name of a drowning victim found at Twin Bridges State Park last week.

The Grand River Dam Authority Police Department identified the man as Kevin Vincent Callanan, 60, of Sarcoxie, Missouri.

On Thursday, March 3, the GRDA responded to a boat ramp for a possible drowning at Twin Bridges on the north end of Grand Lake. Authorities say Callanan was backing a truck with a trailer down the boat ramp when the truck and trailer went into the water.

Recovery crews searched for several days. They found his body on Saturday about 20 yards off the end of the ramp about 27 feet down. The GRDA says Callanan did not get out of the vehicle.
