Truck driver killed south of Cherokee, Kansas

A Pittsburg man is dead after the semi-truck he was driving crashes south of Cherokee.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says on Monday afternoon Alfred Hubbard, 66, was driving a 2000 Volvo straight truck on Highway 7 about 2.5 miles south of Cherokee. KHP says Hubbard lost control of the truck, over corrected, then rolled into the ditch.

According to the crash report, Hubbard was wearing a seat belt.

Hubbard died at the scene.
