Transition from snow to freezing drizzle underway this morning
6 a.m. update
As the system moves west to east we’re seeing freezing drizzle develop (indicated in pink) and then rain on the back side of it. This is going to persist for a while because of the temperatures right at or just above the freezing mark. While we’re not looking at much in the way of ice accumulation, there are going to be slick spots on untreated roads and also you’ll notice how the freezing variety os right over our major highways of I-44, I-49, and HWY 69.
