Traffic Delays Expected During Pittsburg Water Valve Relocation

The City of Pittsburg is expecting changes to traffic patterns and traffic delays while the water distribution crew relocates a water valve. Crews will moving the valve currently located in the middle of Walnut Street at the intersection of South Quincy Street to prevent any interruption of work during the 2018 Street Improvements Project.

Residents in the immediate are of the intersection may experience two to three temporary water outages during construction. Outages are expected occur in mid-morning to early afternoon only.

Motorist traveling south bound along Walnut Street are encouraged to utilize Jefferson Street for connection to Broadway Street or traveling to the US Highway 69 bypass.
