Tractor trailer overturns on Baseline Blvd, hauling 44,000 pounds alcohol
Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Drum tells us on the scene the driver and her dog suffered non-life-threatening injuries

JASPER COUNTY, Mo. — Just before 7:30 p.m. Monday evening reports of a tractor trailer crash alerted Jasper County E911 to dispatch first responders.
Jasper Fire & Rescue, Jasper County Deputies, Mercy Ambulance responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol and MoDOT Emergency Response were notified.
First reports from tipsters tell us the road on Baseline Blvd near CR90 is completely blocked in northeast Jasper County.
Trooper Joe Drum of the Missouri State Highway Patrol tell us the female driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Joplin hospital. She had a dog with her that was not injured.
“Please avoid Baseline Boulevard and CR 90. There is a Tractor trailer on its side blocking the road. It will take several hours for the road to be cleared.” – Jasper Fire and Rescue
He also tells us the cargo was 44,000 pounds of hard seltzer, “Vizzy” alcoholic drink. As the tractor and trailer overturned the top of the trailer peeled off spilling all of the contents onto the roadway, completely blocking the road for nearly five hours.

S&S Wrecker removed the crashed tractor trailer and all the contents. The roadway was open again to all traffic just before midnight.
