Tractor trailer overturns, blocking Joplin St. in Carl Junction, Mo.

👉🏽 UPDATE: 3:40 p.m. roadway was reopened.
JASPER COUNTY, Mo.
– Monday morning just after 9:15 a.m. Jasper County E911 were alerted to reports of a crash near Joplin and Gum in rural Carl Junction, Mo.

Carl Junction Fire, Jasper County Deputies, and METS ambulance responded.  Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

Carl Junction Fire tells us it is a tractor trailer overturned.  The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The roadway is completely blocked.  Joplin Street which travels north from Fir Road is commonly known as the back way to Carl Junction.  It is just west of the Briarbrook Neighborhood. Expect road closure for a period of hours.

The tractor trailer is carrying 40,000 pounds of aluminum foil.
