Topeka shooting kills Chanute woman

TOPEKA, Kan. – A Chanute woman is dead after a shooting in Topeka.

Topeka police say 39-year-old Kristi Rodriguez died after she and two others were shot in near Southeast 31st Street and Adams in Topeka on Friday.

One of the two friends was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The other was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Topeka police say they’re looking for two people of interest in the case: 28-year-old Devonta Miller of Topeka and 21-year-old Harlee borders of Marysville.
