Toddler found unharmed after carjacking in Missouri
Vehicle was abandoned with toddler inside
FLORISSANT, Mo. — Authorities say a 2-year-old has been found unharmed in suburban St. Louis after two men stole the car in which the child was seated.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that two men approached a woman around 2:30 p.m. Thursday while she was in the driveway of a Florissant home and implied that they had a weapon. Florissant police spokesman Steve Michael says the men then hopped into the woman’s vehicle with the child in the rear seat and fled.
Michael says at least 30 officers searched the area before finding the vehicle abandoned a short distance away. Only the toddler was inside. Two suspects have been arrested.
