OPOLIS, Kan – The body of a woman is found in a ditch in Opolis, Kansas. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office says there are no obvious signs of foul play at this time, but the possibility is not being ruled out. There is no information on her identity as of this time as well. Sheriff Danny Smith says there is no cause for public concern.

JOPLIN, Mo – Police continue the search for two suspects tied to multiple crimes in Woodson, Allen, and Crawford County. Police pursued a vehicle believed to be driven by 28-year-old WIlliam Patton and 21-year-old Kaitlyn McMurry yesterday just after midnight in Joplin. The chase ended after authorities used stop sticks to bring the car to a halt. The suspects escaped into a wooded area. No arrests have been made. Patton and McMurry evaded Pittsburg police on Sunday. Patton is considered to be armed and dangerous.

CARTHAGE, Mo – A pursuit in Carthage leads a suspect to leave the street and drive their car down the sidewalk. The pursuit at the Carthage Square has officers following a suspects vehicle before the suspects turns around, drives down the wrong side of the road, and even ending up on the sidewalk. The car eventually turned south allowing officers to stop the suspect and take her into custody.The woman behind the wheel was Breshia Grosso. Authorities say the chase started in Joplin after a Hit and Run earlier in the morning. Officials say Grosso has several Felony Warrants with more possible charges coming out of Joplin.

JASPER COUNTY, Mo – The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office’s year in report shows an increase in some crime in 2019. The report shows the number of incident reports increased by about three percent compared to 2018. Burglaries and thefts saw the largest increase. Sex crimes saw an overall decrease. Sheriff Randee Kaiser says the drops weren’t by much.
