Three people thrown from boat at Lake of the Ozarks

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A boat capsized on Lake of the Ozarks near Grand Glaize on Sunday evening around 6 p.m. according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol water patrol.

“Three people were on the boat when it capsized, ejecting all of them into the water. Luckily, no one sustained any serious injuries,” Troop F states in a release of information.

Osage Beach Fire Dept and Osage Beach Ambulance responded along with Water Patrol.

The boat operator, Derrick Grigsby, 41, of Sand Springs, Okla. was transported by private vehicle to Lake Regional Hosptial. He suffered moderate injuries.

Two 13-year-old passengers also from Sand Springs were wearing floatation devices. Male suffered minor injuries, refused medical treatment. A female suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.

The capsized boat can be seen in Troop F images released. It was towed by Tow Boat USA and Atlantis Dive Co.
