Third Chick-fil-A in Joplin opens, anticipated to employ 120 full and part time employees
35 years ago the first location opened inside the Northpark Mall, it continues operating today
JOPLIN, Mo. — The third Chick-fil-A in Joplin, 3509 S Range Line, opened on schedule Wednesday despite rain and storms across the area.
It marks 35 years since Joplin’s first location opened inside the Northpark Mall. One of Joplin’s born and raised, Rick Starkweather, was selected as the manager in 1987.
And Starkweather is the Owner/Operator of all three locations.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received over the past 35 years,” said Starkweather. “I look forward to mentoring my new Team Members, providing great-tasting food and serving my community with genuine hospitality.”
- This new Chick-fil-A restaurant design features a larger property, so the building has a larger footprint.
- Longer lanes to place drive thru orders and those made on the APP.
- Access to the restaurant is on the east side of the property to alleviate Range Line traffic.
This location is still hiring. They anticipate 120 full and part time employees at this restaurant alone. They offer $15 an hour to full time employees. Text cfajoplin to 242424 to apply.
The 21st and Range Line location will close April 2 for two weeks to do remodeling (we apologize our live video wrongly states a month).
A feature of the new restaurant is an table that is obvious as you walk into the dining area, The Community Table is different, it’s distressed and the craftsmanship stands out.
“The table was built by artisans from A Better Way Ministries. The materials used were salvaged from unwanted and abandoned homes. The hands that built it belong to a person who also felt unwanted and abandoned. Love, compassion, and grace are powerful tools” — Community Table Inscription
On the bottom of the table is a personal testimony from the hands that built the table.
DONATION MADE FOR MISSOURIANS
In honor of the new I-44 location’s opening, “Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners across the state of Missouri to aid in the fight against hunger.”
The restaurant is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., closed on Sundays. For the latest news and updates on Chick-fil-A I-44 & Range Line Road, visit the Chick-fil-A I-44 & Range Line Road Facebook page and follow along on Instagram. Click to download the free Chick-fil-A® App.
