The Newton County Dispatch Center receives upgrades
NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. – The Newton County Dispatch Center recently received improvements to its dispatch center.
Sheriff Jennings states:
“The 911 service we are reviving is top-notch. We have better communication now with dispatch and out officers as well as other agencies.”
Along with new carpet, the dispatch center will also receive new workstations with more space.
Dispatch officials say they also replaced an old land-line system that was prone to breakdown.
Residents had the opportunity to view these recent upgrades today, March 29th.
Dispatch officials say the improvements are funded by the Public Safety Tax passed in august of 2020.
