The CARE Act
The CARE Act supports these family caregivers.
Missouri — Nearly 800,000 Missourians care for a parent, spouse, or other loved one, helping them live independently at home. Now, a new law called The CARE Act supports these family caregivers.
Loved ones can now designate a family caregiver when they’re admitted into a hospital. That caregiver will be informed when their loved one is discharged, and hospitals must instruct family caregivers on the medical tasks they will need to perform at home.
