Oklahoma's booming new medical marijuana industry will have some new state regulations to follow under a bill that is now headed to the governor's desk.   The Oklahoma Senate voted 43-5 on Monday for the measure known as the "unity bill " because it's supported by various factions of the cannabis industry. Missouri will prohibit medical marijuana at veterans' nursing homes

Residents and employees of Missouri's seven nursing homes for veterans will not be allowed to use medical marijuana.    Missouri Veterans Commission Executive Director Grace Link said Monday the state must prohibit the use of medical marijuana at the homes in order to comply with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which considers pot an illegal drug.

Oklahoma medical marijuana sales generate tax revenue

Increasing sales of medical marijuana are putting revenue in Oklahoma's state coffers.Numbers from the Oklahoma Tax Commission show sales reached nearly $1 million in December, generating about $70,000 for the state from a special new tax on pot sales.
