T-storms still set for Wednesday evening
Can't rule out a little bit of severe weather
After tracking our next storm system over the past several days, the setup still shows that the system is set to bring widespread rain and t-storms our way for Wednesday evening and Wednesday night. With this storm system working to bring in some wind shear and some moisture, we actually have a marginal risk clipping parts of southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma west of US 69. As the storms work in, they will be mainly on the strong side. If some t-storms can push to low-grade severe levels, we’ll keep an eye out for some hail stones up to the size of quarters and wind gusts trying to push near 60 mph. Any sort of tornado threat in this marginal risk will stay to our south along the Oklahoma/Texas border. One thing we can definitely count on are rain amounts between half an inch and an inch before the storms clear out early Thursday morning.
