T-storms staying to our north & south tonight

Severe threat stays to our south
Day1otlk 0100

With two upper level waves going around us (one to the north and one to the south), that’s where the stronger t-storms will stay for the rest of the night. A marginal risk clips far northern Missouri and much of Iowa with those t-storms capable of some wind gusts and small hail. With a decent upper low working across the ArkLaTex, it’s strong enough to keep a slight risk for severe weather in place for southern Arkansas. Earlier this evening, some t-storms had some wind gusts and possible tornadic rotation across southern Arkansas and southeastern Oklahoma. The tornado threat has dissipated, but some strong to severe t-storms with sizable hail and gusty wind can’t be ruled out. For us, we’ll stick with a chance for scattered showers east of US 69 for the overnight hours.
