T-storms continue this afternoon & evening

Severe threat stays south
Day1otlk 2000

The brunt of our storm system is currently passing to our south. Since it’s still passing close to the area, the rain and t-storms that we have seen today will continue into this evening. We could see some strong t-storms through this evening with some heavy rain and small hail, but the severe threat will stay to our south. The Storm Prediction Center has an enhanced risk outlined for southeast Oklahoma, southern Arkansas, northern Louisiana and northeastern Texas. A slight risk surrounds that area and extends as far east as central Mississippi. The setup will allow the strongest t-storms in OK and TX to be capable of large hail and isolated tornadoes. Across the rest of the enhanced risk area, the dominant threat will be damaging wind speeds along with some large hail and a few isolated tornadoes.
