Severe Outlook for Wednesday Evening August 29th

Through the rest of the evening, we’ll have partly to mostly cloudy skies while t-storms fire up along I-40 in eastern Oklahoma. Some of those t-storms could potentially become severe with 60 mph wind gusts & some quarter-size hail. Any additional t-storms that fire up in the marginal risk outlined in OK & AR could become strong to severe until the late night gets underway. Elsewhere, we have a marginal threat outlined from the IN/KY border up into New England with a slight risk outlined for northern New England. Along the front, that area will have a better shot for some severe t-storms with high wind and large hail as the main threats. When the system starts lifting back our way overnight and into Friday morning, any t-storms we see will stay below severe limits.
