T-storm chances stay south Wednesday

While we deal with rain and wintry weather

The next upper level wave will start working in as soon as we get late tonight and Wednesday morning underway. We’ll have to deal with a rain/wintry mix in the morning before temperatures gradually warm up and switch primarily to rain in the afternoon.

Off to our south, a developing frontal system will develop and begin to work across southern Oklahoma and northern Texas. The upper level wave will work with that front to get t-storms going from central Texas to western Louisiana and as far north as parts of the Ark-La-Tex region. The best chance for t-storms in the region will be Wednesday evening and night. With expected instability to be weak and elevated, we’re expecting those t-storms to stay below severe limits.
