Severe Outlook for Wednesday August 29th

Our incoming cold front will still be around as we head into your Wednesday. As a result, we’ll continue to hold onto scattered rain and t-storm chances across the area. With the front expected to drape along or just south of the I-44 corridor, areas along and ahead of the front will have the better shot to see scattered t-storms Wednesday afternoon and into Wednesday evening. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined parts of our area along and south of I-44 under a marginal risk for severe weather. We’re not anticipating widespread severe weather with the t-storms on Wednesday, but some of the t-storms could be strong enough to bring a gusty wind threat. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the setup for Wednesday.
