Suspect wanted in Cherokee County robbery

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. – Cherokee County authorities release images of a suspect in a convenience store robbery.

On Wednesday evening, around 8:00 p.m., a man stole an undisclosed amount of money from R&J’s Convenience Store in northern Cherokee County, Kansas.

The Sheriff’s Office states the suspect fled in what is believed to be a white 2013 Volkswagon Passat. Authorities say no weapons were brandished during the crime.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects’ identity is asked to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office at 620-429-3992 or submit information by text.  Tipsters can text the number 88877 and simply type ‘tip cherokee’ followed by whatever information they are able to provide.
