Suspect sentenced in 2019 Nevada, Mo. murder

VERNON COUNTY, Mo. — A judge sentences two suspects in a Nevada, Missouri murder.

The crime happened in July 2019. That’s when the Nevada Police Department and Vernon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home and found Terah Hallam and Jason Hallam with gunshot wounds. Terah died at the hospital.

The prosecutor’s office filed charged of second degree murder, second degree burglary and unlawful use of a weapon against Donald Million, Amanda Million and Jason Hallam.

Donald and Amanda Million took a plea deal. A judge, on August 25, 2020, sentenced them to five years supervised probation for second degree murder. The courts dropped their other charges.

A third suspect, Jason Hallam, is scheduled to be back in court in October.
