Super Bowl Sunday through the eyes of an NFL referee
Officiating in three Super Bowls taught Larry Nemmers a lot.
Unless you were one of his students, you’d never know that Larry Nemmers spent the majority of his career as an educator.
That may be because over the course of 20+ years, he spent his Sundays officiating professional football.
As a referee in Super Bowls XXV, XXXV, XLVI and 600+ games, his career was full of close calls, iconic moments, and memories that he says he’s grateful to have had.
Larry joined us for a conversation about Sunday’s game, the role of the referee, and the evolution of the game from his perspective.
